It is said that vitrectomy is further difficult than a laser treatment. Vitrectomy may be made at times as an outpatient surgery but far more normally it wants a hospital stay for overnight. Unlike in laser treatment it is a procedure frequently performed for outpatient. It's the responsibility of the eye physician to determine if what sort of anesthesia might be utilized either general or local anesthesia.
